Organization Management

Invite team members, delegate owner access, view your organization roster, and remove users from your TeamDay organization.

Organization Management

TeamDay organizations can have multiple members. This guide covers inviting people to your org, delegating owner access, viewing the member list, and removing members when needed.

Invite a Team Member

  1. Open Settings in the left sidebar
  2. Go to the Organization tab
  3. Enter the person's email address in the invite field
  4. Click Send Invite

The invited user receives an email. Once they accept, they appear in the Members list with the member role.

If the email address is already associated with a TeamDay account that has access to this org, you will see a "user already has access" message.

View Members

The Members section shows every current member and any pending (not yet accepted) invites.

Each member row shows:

ColumnDescription
EmailThe member's email address
Roleowner or member
YouLabel on your own row

member is the default role for normal workspace access. owner is for organization administration such as provider setup, billing, connector credentials, and other owner-gated controls.

Delegate Owner Access

To make another accepted member an owner:

  1. Open Settings → Organization
  2. Find the member in the Members list
  3. Change their role from Member to Owner
  4. Confirm the change

The member's active session is refreshed so the new role is used the next time TeamDay reads their account state.

You cannot change your own role from this screen. TeamDay also prevents removing the last owner from an organization.

Resend or Cancel a Pending Invite

Pending invites appear below the active members list.

  • Resend — sends the invite email again if the recipient did not receive it
  • Cancel — removes the pending invite; the link in the original email will no longer work

Remove a Member

To remove someone from your organization:

  1. Open Settings → Organization
  2. Find the member in the list
  3. Click Remove next to their row
  4. Confirm the action in the dialog

What happens to the removed user:

  • If the removed user belongs to other TeamDay organizations, they are automatically switched to their most recently active one. Their session is invalidated and they must re-authenticate.
  • If the removed user has no other organization memberships, TeamDay creates a new personal organization and workspace for them. They become its owner and can continue using TeamDay independently.

The removed user loses access to your organization's agents, spaces, knowledge, and data immediately.

You cannot remove yourself. The Remove button is disabled for your own account row.
